Let's get a quick story update out of the way first. Things Could Be Worse went fast in it's first week but I found out that there were some paragraph issues that may have made it harder to see on some eReaders. This has been corrected. If you already purchased you can download the new version for free. If you haven't bought it yet, why not? 

As you all know by now I will be a guest a MystiCon 2012 next weekend. I have gotten my panel schedule (listed below) but I will also be attending the Bella Morte concert Saturday night. Books That Should Be A Movie Tolkien fans waited generations to finally see The Lord of the Rings on the big screen. What book would you give to Peter Jackson next?

I am busy getting ready for MystiCon but I am on track to finish the new story "Things Could Be Worse" ready for release on February 1st.

Just wanted to update that my next story was delayed again. I know I'm horrible, but, I dont want to make a promise I can't keep so Feb 1st 2012 you will have the story and it will be free for one week as an apology.

The story is a much asked for follow up to "Midnight Strolls" so I hope you all know it's worth the wait!

I want to take the time to introduce you to two great people....the first is Tiffany (who didn't want me to share too much with ya'll right now). She did the cover for "The Ill" and is going to be doing some proof reading for me. I'll just say that she is awesome until she has a site together I can share.

The second is Destiny Froste. Destiny is my new Director of Media and Networking- on top of being amazing at keeping me organized she is keeping me grounded. 

This update was way past due but it doesn't mean I don't appreciate everything they have both done!

Unfortunately I have decided to discontinue the (barely started) Success in Self Publishing webseries. I was not able to do videos in the quality I would have wanted to. To say goodbye I filmed this:

As stated in the video I have a story in a great little collection that just came out "31 Nights of Halloween". 

I'm here at Dragon*Con and want to do something special for those of you who are here too. 

Throughout the con I will be tweeting hints about where I am. The first person to find me using a hint gets a coupon code for a free download of "The Ill" 

To get your coupon code you have to reply to me "I see @moonlithorrors at "wherever I am" and come up to me in person and tell me you've spotted me and your twitter handle. I will then be sending out codes at the end of con for people who get one.

Since I am not costuming this year I will update this post with a pic of me every day so you can spot me a little easier:

First off I wanted to let you all know that I will be a guest at Mysticon 2012 in Roanoke VA. As I get more info I will keep you updated.

I also got two great new assistants whom I will be introducing you to soon.

Now on to video business. I have been trying to get the Success in Self Publishing videos done and I got the intro finished and uploaded and a quick Q&A before I posted episode 1. Once posted the video was promptly removed by youtube without explanation so I reshot the video and could not concentrate. I just couldn't do it so what I am going to give you is the end of the video when I just kind of lose it and say nevermind. 

I will be reshooting again but you guys at least deserve to laugh at me. There were many moments before this but you get what you get. <--- click that

So I have finally started to do all of those things  I have been promising. Ready to hear some of what has been keeping me in hiding?
 
First I wanted to let you know that moonlit daydreams is available for free through July 31st at Smashwords. If you have not downloaded a copy yet you now have no excuse.


Secondly, those who are local to me I will be holding a "Campfire Stories for Grownups" at Oak Tree Coffee in Kannapolis on July 31st. I will be telling a story or two then opening up for others to share. I will also be holding a book raffle and 50% of raffle proceeds will go to charity.

Thirdly, I finally broke the ice and posted an intro video to my Success in Self Publishing series. I will be putting out videos every saturday for at least the next 5 weeks on different topics. Please excuse the lighting, we were seeing how well it worked (it didn't). Also, pardon my boobs.


Lastly, I wanted to let you all know that you will be hearing a lot more from me. I have acquired three wonderful assistants, all of whom I will introduce to you later, to do the background things so I can focus on writing and speaking with you guys. It will always be me on social media or this blog and if for any reason it isn't it will say so.

First things first: ConCarolinas

ConCarolinas went wonderfully, met a lot of people and also made some great connections which leads me to the second piece of news...

You will be seeing me more in 2012. I am in talks with different conventions all up and down the east coast - As I know you will know! And speaking of knowing things...

Sunlit Nightmares is still very much in the works. The second story in the series will be available August 1st 2011.  Teaser info will be available July 9th.

Sorry news has been so scarce there is a lot going on with me and projects at the moment. I will make sure to update you as soon as I have the information to share.

Oh and I almost forgot... Moonlit Daydreams V2 is available in eBook formats AND print. Amazon will not be immediately updated with the second version- but keep your eye out! The second edition is only $9.99 due to improvements in pricing structure and other such nonsensical things.

I was recently made aware that the corrected versions of Moonlit Daydreams were not actually corrected. This was an error on my part and I beg for your forgiveness and have a peace offering to those of you who had to put up with the crazy formatting...

If you email me your third party receipt (kindle, apple, B&N) I will send you a corrected version.

I will be setting up a second print edition of Moonlit Daydreams with a few fixes and alterations. This will be completed by the end of the week. I will send out a tweet when I am done...
