ConCarolinas Cancellation; Sunlit Nightmares Update

I was trying to wait until I heard back from ConCarolinas before posting anything public but I don't want anyone to buy a badge just to come see me so I have to go ahead and make the announcement. (Though i recommend attending without me as they have lots planned)

I unfortunately will not be able to attend ConCarolinas 2012 this year. I became ill a couple weeks ago and am still recovering now. I was going to push through and come hang out with all you awesome people but unfortunately we had a loss in the family last week. 

My uncle Jeff's death has been very hard on my family for a variety of reasons and it was the straw that broke the camels back for me as far as being able to attend Con. There is more information about my uncles death that I will be discussing publicly soon, as it is very important to share some of those details so that maybe in the future we can save someone else. 

Any media contact friends/fans/followers that I have please contact me. I may contact you first, but I have a busy few days and you contacting me would be a small favor. 

As a side note Sunlit Nightmares is being released Mid-June now. More info soon.

New Story and Con Carolinas

I released the 4th story for my upcoming Sunlit Nightmares collection, "The Sweetest, Darkest Dreams", on May 1st through Smashwords. You can get it free until tomorrow (May 3rd) using coupon code JL92P. I usually release the stories as free while I make sure formatting works out, so take advantage of my backwards-ness. I will tweet/update Facebook when the story is available through other merchants. 

Sunlit Nightmares will be released while I am at Con Carolina's 2012. I will be a returning guest this year and I signed up for a release party. I haven't heard back a confirmation on a release party there but no matter what it will be released that weekend. 

After this collection I will begin working on a full length novel, of course I will probably keep releasing shorts though anthologies so I will always be updating. I also will let you guys know my Con schedule as soon as I get it. 

Side note: Make sure you guys like me on Facebook. Most people seem to prefer Twitter but it will make me feel loved to have over a thousand on each! I am about to start updating Facebook to take advantage of the new features so get in now and you can say you Liked the page before it was cool.

Dragon*Con 2011

I'm here at Dragon*Con and want to do something special for those of you who are here too. 

Throughout the con I will be tweeting hints about where I am. The first person to find me using a hint gets a coupon code for a free download of "The Ill" 

To get your coupon code you have to reply to me "I see @moonlithorrors at "wherever I am" and come up to me in person and tell me you've spotted me and your twitter handle. I will then be sending out codes at the end of con for people who get one.

Since I am not costuming this year I will update this post with a pic of me every day so you can spot me a little easier:

Cons and Videos

First off I wanted to let you all know that I will be a guest at Mysticon 2012 in Roanoke VA. As I get more info I will keep you updated.

I also got two great new assistants whom I will be introducing you to soon.

Now on to video business. I have been trying to get the Success in Self Publishing videos done and I got the intro finished and uploaded and a quick Q&A before I posted episode 1. Once posted the video was promptly removed by youtube without explanation so I reshot the video and could not concentrate. I just couldn't do it so what I am going to give you is the end of the video when I just kind of lose it and say nevermind. 

I will be reshooting again but you guys at least deserve to laugh at me. There were many moments before this but you get what you get. <--- click that

Updated eBooks & ConCarolinas & More Awesome

I was recently made aware that the corrected versions of Moonlit Daydreams were not actually corrected. This was an error on my part and I beg for your forgiveness and have a peace offering to those of you who had to put up with the crazy formatting...

If you email me your third party receipt (kindle, apple, B&N) I will send you a corrected version.

If you purchased through smashwords you can access the latest version through your dashboard.

The new version of Moonlit Daydreams eBook will be available within the next couple of days directly through Amazon.

ConCarolinas is this weekend! I am excited- please make sure to view the previous news post for my schedule. I will be a guest on four of the panels and moderating the "Too much of a good thing" panel. I arrive at the con around 5pm on Friday.

I will be setting up a second print edition of Moonlit Daydreams with a few fixes and alterations. This will be completed by the end of the week. I will send out a tweet when I am done...

This is where I ramble about things but also sometimes let you know about what is going on. I've heard rumors of prizes being dispersed through this medium as well!
